Pair (neck and bridge) of 1990 HFS & Vintage Bass Paul Reed Smith pickups with nickel polepieces. These are the first year for the HFS / Vintage Bass pickups which replaced the Standard ("T" & "B") pickups and still feature the early nickel silver baseplates, white paper labels, and black paper (not cloth) assembly tape. Shortly after introduction, in the early 1990s, PRS switched to the unplated brass baseplates (with the PRS USA embossing) and began assembling pickups using the cloth style bobbin tape. Have 3-wire shielded leads for 5-way rotary or blade switching, but can also be used on traditional 3-way switch (see diagram).
Leads were desoldered and not cut when removed for easy reinstallation. Measure 14.43K bridge and 8.28K neck at 67F. These pickups are the classic'90s PRS sound. The item "1990 Paul Reed Smith HFS and Vintage Bass Pickups Set Pair Silver Baseplates" is in sale since Tuesday, February 25, 2020.
