PAIR Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Slide Locket & Vintage Brooch/Pendant

  
PAIR: Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Slide Locket & Vintage Brooch/Pendant. The large antique sliding locket measures 2" tall (not including clasp and ring) x 1.75"wide.

From top of ring to bottom total length is 2.5 tall. In Nouveau style it depicts a relief of a beautiful woman in a flowing robe, hand upon chest, amidst a garden of tiny flowers and vines. The locket shape resembles an upside down heart.

The back is a very thin piece of metal that closes without a clasp or hinge. There is what appears to be the remnants of an old photo or celluloid cover between the front and back. The top clasp is very plain and put together with a single pin. I believe this sliding locket dates from the Victorian era. When I received this it was as black as night, so black you could barely make out what is was, so I took the liberty of cleaning it to show its beautiful details.

It is not marked sterling, but does not adhere to a magnet signaling that it is sterling silver. Also, it has the luster of sterling silver when cleaned up.

The second piece, a lovely cast brooch or pin of a young girl's face in the midst of flowing vines, is a small and more contemporary piece with a ring that allows it to be worn as either a pin or pendant. She is approximately 1" tall x 1.25" wide. Unmarked, but again this piece does not adhere to a magnet signaling that it is also likely sterling silver.
