PAIR VTG 1930's Machine Age Art Deco Chrome Milk Glass Cylinder Sconces RESTORED. A handsome pair of sconces from the American Machine Age design movement of the 1930s.

Comprised of chrome plated pressed steel and include the original milk glass cylinder shades. They are astounding when lit.

Light diffuses from the milk glass shades and also streams upward from the open cylinders. Unfortunately, as with most lighting of the era, there are no makers marks and no known provenance could be ascertained. The sconces have been restored and refurbished and are ready for contemporary installation.

All exterior metal components have been professionally re-plated with triple chrome finish. Original bakelite bulb sockets have been replaced with new like kind. All wiring has been replaced with new. New finials have been also been provided. These sconces utilize standard medium base Edison T10 tube shaped light bulbs (not included).

Approximate dimensions are as follows. Glass cylinder: 2.5 Diameter X 5 High. Depth from wall: 5.5. NOTE: One of the sconces originally had an electrical outlet on the underside, as shown.

This socket has been disabled for safety reasons. The power wires have been capped but remain in place. Enabling this outlet is not advisiable and is at your own risk.
