VINTAGE PAIR OF HALLMARKED SOLID SILVER GRAPE SCISSORS/SHEARS 1988 111.5g

  

For your consideration a pair of hallmarked sterling silver grape scissors or shears that date to the 1980's. Appears to be of a cast construction and has an ornate grape and foliate design to the handles. Please view the pictures above as they hopefully show all in detail. Hallmarks to one handle comprise the makers mark'RH', the anchor for Birmingham, the lion denoting sterling silver, and the date letter'O' for 1988.

Opposite handle has the lion and date letter. The scissors measure 16.5 cms long, and are pictured alongside a size AAA battery for size comparison. They weigh 111.5g all approximate. Lovely condition, free from damage or repairs.

Slight gap at the tip when closed, but probably easily adjusted. I have lots of interesting silver listed in my shop; please take a look.
