Though no hallmark was found, they appear identical to those made by Elkington during the 1880s in both their aesthetic design and quality. Areas of light rubbing and plate loss can be found along the raised ridges and edges of the various decorative elements, most notably to the removable wax plates and on the bases. Otherwise they are in very good antique condition with no dents, dings, corrosion, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. The silver polishes brightly to a clear and brilliant luster. Well cared for, they show wear commensurate to age and a history of honest use across 150 years so please regard the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
