For sale: A pair of beautiful and elegant long Edwardian earrings. The articulated bow form earrings are composed of faceted paste mounted in silver, which are unmarked.

Paste jewelry was prized during its height of fashion from 1730's up until today. Paste (faceted glass with high lead oxide content which created a higher refractive index) was created in France by Georges Frederic Strass who became jeweler to King Louis XV.
Soon England, Spain and Portugal joined France in making similar fashionable and affordable paste jewelry. Most likely these earrings were made in England around 1890s to 1915.
Measures a little over 3" long by 1" wide. They have their original screw backs.
