Large Sterling Weighted Candlesticks Pair Vintage By Frank Whiting 6 1/2 Tall

  

These are a bold, sizeable, and gutsy pair of sterling silver weighted candlesticks. Much larger and way more impressive than most, they are approximately 6 1/2 tall. The bases have a 5 1/8 diameter. There are three bands of gadrooning or rope like decoration, one at the edge of the candle cup, one at the knop, and another at the edge of the base. The bottoms both read Sterling Frank Whiting & Company (their mark with a winged W) Weighted and reinforced and the number 2329.

I can't find another pair like these out there. The silver is slightly crimped toward the base of one, but not readily noticeable. These vintage Whiting Sterling silver candlesticks are quite beautiful! This item is in the category "Antiques\Silver\Sterling Silver (.
