Pair 18th Cent. Large Continental Silver Shoe Buckles
Pair of 18th century silver shoe buckles, measuring 3 inches across by 2 1/2 inches, by 1 3/8 inches high in arc from rest on a table surface. The pair weighs 3.93 troy ounces. Marked on the side, back face of the outer frame of each buckle with a crowned "G" possibly a mark used in Friesland? And what seems to be a maker's mark of "I" and interlocked "P" and "L". The hinge pin of each buckle appears to be brass as it is exposed passing to the outside of the frame while all other parts are of solid silver high grade alloy. There's some old established tarnish overall, otherwise in quite good antique condition. The item "PAIR 18TH CENT. LARGE CONTINENTAL SILVER SHOE BUCKLES" is in sale since Friday, April 30, 2021.
