These are made of Heavy Brass with a Nickel plating with all internal components made of brass with the exception of the electrical being made of a Bakelite material I did try to hook up the electrical I could not get it to work thinking that the light bulbs are burnt out the are special very early. These measure 12 inches tall by 3 1/4 inches at the round base the glass cylinder is a frosted glass with a slight purple tint also I noticed when I put them side by side one is a little thicker than the other maybe one is a later replacement there are no cracks or breaks.
