Attention vintage watch nerds, I have the pair for you. A matching set of Caravelle, automatic dual date window devil divers.
Now these watches are called Devil Divers because they are rated to 200 meters. While most companies would mark 660 feet, some, like Bulova/Caravelle would do 666.Are from 1974 and have an unknown service history. Both seem to run decently.
I advise having them serviced immediately. They were originally rated to 200 meters or 666 feet.
They will be needing new gaskets before coming in contact with water. Both have original Caravelle signed crowns. The one on the left has the original bracelet, original end pieces, and I believe the dial and hands are original.
The one on the right has a dreadful, gem faceted, replacement crystal that needs to come out. Both of these watches are the same style and both were made in 74, as indicated by the N4 code on the back, so I assume one has a replacement second hand. The bracelet on the one on the right is falling apart. I would recommend a nice perlon strap for this guy.
The one on the right has a beat up case. You can cherrypick the best parts to make one good watch, or you can make two nice examples, of this Caravelle that I believe was only offered in 1974. The unique case is 37mm wide not counting the crown, and the lugs are 18mm.
