PAIR VTG 1930's Art Deco Chrome & Copper Sconces w/Vaseline Shades - RESTORED. Spectacular pair of winged Art Deco slip shade sconces dating to the mid-to-late 1930s. The custard shades are confirmed to be vaseline/uranium glass as evidenced under UV light in photo #9. Unfortunately, as is often the case with vintage lighting, there are no makers marks and and details of provenance have not otherwise been determined. These sconces have been restored and refurbished and. Glass shades are in excellent condition. Metal components have been professionally plated in contrasting triple chrome and copper finishes. Original bakelite sockets have been replaced with new like kind.

Rotary on/off switches have been replaced with new vintage stock of like kind. All other wiring has been replaced. Mounting hardware has been provided as shown. NOTE: Upon close inspection there is slight blistering on the arms.

This is due to the composition of the metal and intense heat and voltage associated with chromium plating. While not readily apparent, this flaw is worth noting. Please refer to the final photo for closeup view of an effected area. Approximate dimensions are as follows. Backplate: 4.5wide X 9high. Depth from wall with shade: 6.5. Shade: 5 Diameter X 3.5high (including neck).
