PAIR VTG Globe Art Deco Arrow Slip Shade Sconces c. 1937 RESTORED

  
Dating to the late 1930's, these stylish sconces exhibit machine age sensibilities as applied to a classic theme. They were produced by Globe Light Fixture Manufacturing of Brooklyn, NY and lighting with identical slip shades appear in their 1935 catalog.

Globe designs were often extreme and modernist and have recently begun to receive the attention they deserve. These sconces have been restored and refurbished and are ready for contemporary installation. Chrome back plates have been cleaned and polished. The solid brass arrow and shade rest fitments have been machine polished.

The original porcelain sockets have been retained and bulb contacts cleaned and polished. New insulators have been installed. Original rotary switches have been refurbished with new vintage stock of like kind. All additional wiring is new. New mounting hardware is consisting of crossbars, threaded rods and nickel plated ball cap have been provided to assist with your installation.
