Rare pair of Art Deco Hair Wave Setters by Mervin

  
Hard to come by vintage hair clips that helps recreate the glamours Art Deco hair style the "Marcel Wave". Do you know someone that loves to dress the part of the deco time period, go to the speak easies, drink a little corn whisky. These Mervin Wave Clips were created and patented in 1938 has a hair waving device that is superior to the other ones during that time period and a lot easier to do than the finger wave method. The clips measure about 6 1/4 inch long by 1 7/8 inch wide, they do cure and have a saw tooth comb that runs opposite direction to hold the set of the hair. To use these clips, you pinch together the finger wings and the sides will extend, place in hair and release, See video of how they open and close.

The clips are made of aluminum and other mixed silver toned metal. The condition for these wave hair setters are great vintage condition no damage noted, in good working order minimal tarnish or patina.
