RARE Pair of Large Vintage Art Deco Light Sconces from a Theater WOW

  

This is a pair of vintage Art Deco wall sconces used in an old movie theater. Made of chrome with white Bakelite or heavy plastic shades, these have the beautiful curves and sharp lines that give Art Deco design its popularity to this day.

The shades have no cracks or damage. There is some minor rusting (see photos)--although they can be rechromed, I chose to leave them as-is to give character, and frankly, no one ever noticed they were in a bathroom, and got many oohs and ahhs and where did you get those comments. I'm including a couple photos of. Bathroom so you can see them. The sconces are 22 long, 5.5 wide, and 6.5 deep. They are very easy to mountI was able to do it with no help, although having a second person to make sure they are level is nice. Its easy to change the bulbs, toojust unwind the cap at the top and bottom and remove the shades and replace the bulbs.

These are heavy duty sconces, and work beautifully in a retro bathroom or a home theater room. These are very rareI have never seen another pair like themand were very expensive. When we moved I could not give them up and brought them along, but now it is time to say goodbye to them.
