Vintage Pair of Sterling Silver Candlesticks Birmingham 1974. An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of vintage English cast sterling silver candlesticks; an addition of our ornamental silverware collection. These exceptional vintage English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain classical 18th century English form. The plain cylindrical capitals are encircled with applied moulded girdles and bands of tooled decoration.

The waisted section of each column features a plain rounded quatrefoil shaped knop to the upper and lower portions. The columns of these vintage silver candlesticks surmount plain circular sunken wells and are supported by square swept bases accented with incurved corners. Each cast candlestick does not have a weighted base.

These vintage English sterling silver candlesticks are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each base are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
