These exceptional vintage English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain classical 18th century English form. The plain cylindrical capitals are encircled with applied moulded girdles and bands of tooled decoration. The waisted section of each column features a plain rounded quatrefoil shaped knop to the upper and lower portions. The columns of these vintage silver candlesticks surmount plain circular sunken wells and are supported by square swept bases accented with incurved corners. Each cast candlestick does not have a weighted base.
