A high quality vintage pair of Neoclassical style Corinthian column silver candlesticks. Both have removable sconces / bobeches (candle wax drip trays).

Fully Sterling hallmarked for the London Assay Office. Taite & Sons of Greatorex Street & Whitechapel Road, London E1. Standing upon a stepped plinth of square section with beaded edges, supporting a reeded column, topped by a traditional Corinthian capital. The candlesticks have initials and dates on the rear face of the plinth on the opposite side to the hallmarks. The candlesticks are in exceptional condition without the usual dents to the plinth corners and edges.

The plinths also bear the following engraving: A. B, applied 7 years after manufacture.
