Vintage QE II Pair Solid Sterling Silver Table Candlesticks, Birmingham, 1958

  
This is a nice pair of vintage candlesticks. Made in solid sterling silver, as can be seen with the Birmingham assay office hallmark for 1958 and the makers mark, ALD for AL Davenport, as shown. The candlesticks are filled and weighted. They are in overall good condition for the age and they polish to a very nice shine as you can see, but there are some small dings which are hard to see and on one of the pieces on the upper section of the base where it meets the main stem there is some small bruising. Do remember this is a used set so do not expect it to look new.

Both pieces sit firmly on the surface. Each candle stick measures approximately 18 cms in height. This would make a lovely quality and unusual gift for someone, which can still be admired and enjoyed today.
