Vintage 1847 Pair of Victorian Elkington Silver Plate Greyhound Dog Paperweights A pair of small antique mid 19th century silver plate Victorian desktop models of greyhounds, made by Elkington & Co, and with the Elkington date code for 1847. The finely detailed models depict recumbent greyhounds raised upon a naturalistic rectangular base and the front & rear edges fully marked with the early Elkington'E&Co' silver plate marks and matching date codes'7' in a lozenge (for 1847). Size : The base approx 3 5/8" x 1 1/2" and approx 1 3/4 tall max (approx 9.3cm x 3.9cm x 4.4cm) Both in excellent condition with minimal age related wear that does not detract from its overall presentation or use, some minor tarnishing in places and light plate wear Please view photos carefully as they form part of the description Please view my other listings.
