PAIR Vintage Historic Art Deco Chrome Slip Shade Stag Sconces c. These massive chrome plated solid brass sconces are of the highest quality construction and, based on their 3/8ips fittings, were most certainly salvaged from a period commercial building. Their design is classic American art Deco dating to around 1930. Note the numerous mystical design and character relief details, including the deer at center.

They have been restored and refurbished and are in excellent working order. The solid brass components have been professionally triple chrome plated. Original socket interiors have been retained, with contacts cleaned and polished and new cardboard insulators installed. The original rotary on/off switches have been rebuilt and retained.

All wiring has been replaced with new. These sconces utilize standard medium base Edison light bulbs (not included). Approximate dimensions are as follows. Back plate: 10H X 4.5W. Depth from wall with shade. Depth from wall without shade. Shade (excluding fitter): 5.5H X 4.5W X 4.5D. Unfortunately, as is often the case with period lighting, there were no makers marks or other evidence which might provide an indication of specific provenance.
