Gorgeous Pair of Flawless Vintage Gorham Sterling Strasbourg 3-Light Candelabras

  
Pair of Vintage Gorham 3-Light Sterling Silver Candelabras in Strasburg Pattern # 1130. Strasbourg was released in 1897.

The design is an 18th century Rococo inspired one of plumes, reverse scroll-work, and curved shell motifs upon a glossy silver surface. The construction of each candelabra consists of 4 segments that all screw together. When the components are assembled the piece is 14 " Tall x 12" wide. However, the candelabras are wonderfully versatile as there are options for several different configurations that adapt to the scale of different size tables and degrees of formality --- from 3 candles to 1 with variations in height. The four components measure: 4 ¾" diameter base, 4 ¼"tall stem, 2 " tall capital, 4 " x 12 three-light top.

All measurements were taken with segments screwed in position. They are "weighted" for stability with some fill of a cement or epoxy material. Provenance: One owner for 56 years. Stored for decades in tarnish resistant felt bags, they were scarcely ever displayed or used. Condition: All pieces are in exceptionally fine shape as photos confirm. No discoloration, dings, dents, scuffs, pits, blemishes, scratches or tarnish.

Each piece has been hand polished to a fine patina replicating its pristine original state. So please carefully scrutinize photos by zooming in on all views.
