MCM Vintage Rare Pair of Large Mercury Glass And Solid Brass Lamps

  

This is a very rare pair of large table lamps designed by Gustav Leek for Orrefors / Flygsfors, Sweden. Flygsfors Glassworks was founded in 1888 and was acquired by Orrefors in 1974.

The lamps are made of gold mercury glass and still has its original yellow silk shades. The lamp base is 42 centimeters tall and the shade measures 32 cm with a diameter of 37 cm. Total height ca 70 cm. Both the lamp bases and the shades are in excellent condition with only minor signs of use, one shade has a slight tear on the inner fabric from transporting.
