Pair Vintage Sterling Silver Candlesticks by Sanders & Mackenzie, B'ham 1968

  

Silver Candlesticks by Sanders & Mackenzie. A vintage pair of loaded Sterling silver candlesticks dating to the swinging sixties. They are by the Birmingham maker Sanders & Mackenzie who operated out of Spencer Street at this period. The candlesticks have tapering and canted square columns with stepped bases. The nozzles are integrated and are not removable.

Each has the Birmingham hallmark to the top side of the base for 1968 with the makers mark for Sanders & Mackenzie. The undersides have the original green felt.

Nice shiny examples as you can see in the images. Generally good with minor wear. Minor indents and scratches in places. Marks and wear to felt bases. Height: 21.4 cm (8 3/8 inch). Width: 7.8 cm (3 1/8 inch) across bases. Weight: 482 grams (before packing).
