Pair Vtg Antique Victorian Style Sterling 925 Hinged Pill Snuff Boxes Heart Hex

  

Up for sale is a pair of vintage etched sterling silver hinged pill boxes. One is shaped like a heart, the other like a hexagon. Both are hallmarks by the same maker, it is a capital M surrounded by a Laurel leaf wreath, I could not identify the maker. Hexagon: was polished recently by precious owner. Has repossessed style decoration around edges.

Hinge works well, box opens and closes easily. 925 and hallmark appear on inside. Has some tarnish remnants throughout as well as signs of wear and age including surface scratching. Bottom has some scuffing and areas of more intense scratching.

Heart: does not look recently polished. Has pretty etched motif on the top.

Hallmark and 925 appear on bottom. Hinge works, opens and closes easily. Signs of use and age throughout including surface wear and scratching. In all of my listings, I include at least one photo that shows the item next to a ruler.

I strongly urge you to look at this closely to make sure you have a good feel for how big or small the item actually is. Items are packed carefully to make sure they arrive to you safely. I do recycle clean boxes and packing materials.
