SIGNED Hattie Carnegie DEER & OWL Pair. Woodland FIGURAL Pins 1960's Vintage Brooch es. Hattie Carnegie (March 15, 1886 - February 22, 1956). Was a fashion entrepreneur based in New York City.

From the 1920s to the 1950s. Jewelry to complement her clothing was added to Carnegie's lines in 1939.

Carnegie died in 1956, but the fashion house bearing her name continued to do business in New York until the 1970 s..... OWL silver tone with paved clear rhinestones, green eyes and a simulated coral body sitting on a branch MEASURES 1.5 inches with the oval maker's mark. FAWN deer gold tone etched ENAMEL with an emerald green rhinestone eye. MEASURES 2 inches, approximately, with the oval maker's mark of Hattie Carnegie jewelry. Locking Safety Catch works nicely. These pins are from my collection of signed vintage designer jewelry which has been acquired over decades. I bought them as a pair of woodland animals.
