Vintage Pair of Sterling Silver Candlesticks (10 ¼) Hallmarked 1991

  

Pair of Vintage Sterling Silver Candlesticks. These impressive candlesticks are made from sterling silver although the bases and stems are filled to provide stability. They are of plain form with fixed sconces that will accommodate candlesticks measuring up to 1.9cm (¾) in diameter, tapered stems and domed, circular feet that are covered with green baize to the bases.

They are both hallmarked for Birmingham with the maker's mark of L J Millington. However, although they are identical, one is dated 1988 and the other 1991. These slight discrepancies are quite common as the maker would have produced a large quantity and matched them up according to need. These sticks are in beautiful condition and they stand nice and vertically.

The only things to mention are a very small dint to the top edge of one foot and small dent to the side of the edge - neither very noticeable. The baize coverings are secure with just a bit of silver polish staining around the edges.
